Meet Our Excellent Veterinary Staff

Shayne Arthurs

Shayne Arthurs, Receptionist

I have been employed with Sullivan Veterinary Clinic since August 3, 2009. During this short time, I have learned a lot about dogs, cats, horses, and cows. This is a new experience for me, but I am enjoying it more every day.

I live on a small farm with my husband, Lance, and our pets, Gizmo the Shih Tzu and Nate the Great Pyrenees. We also raise Boer goats. Our greatest joy is our granddaughter, Riley.

Alicia Freeman

Amy Boone, Receptionist

Amy joined the team at Sullivan Veterinary Clinic in July 2012. She is married to Joe Boone and they have 2 daughters and 2 dogs. Amy enjoys spending time with her family and playing with her dogs when she's not working.

Brandi Hitt

Brandi Hitt, Veterinary Assistant

I have been employed with Sullivan Veterinary Clinic since 2002. I live in Crowville, Louisiana, with my husband, Jeffrey. We have a menagerie of animals including two dogs, Punkin and Dixie; four outside cats that I raised from a bottle; five horses; one donkey; and a flock of chickens. My special animals are two orphaned raccoons, Ethyl and Ely. My hobbies include riding horses, hunting, and raising orphaned animals.

Byron Hart, Veterinary Assistant

I have worked at Sullivan Veterinary Clinic since 2005. Having been raised on a farm around cattle and horses, this is without a doubt the best job I have ever had. I look forward to many more years here.

I am married to my wonderful wife, Elizabeth, and we have two sons, Laine and Jimtyler. Our hobbies include hunting, fishing, and spending time with our horses and mules.

Anna Rhymes

Anna Rhymes, Veterinary Assistant

I have been a veterinary assistant and kennel attendant since 2007. I earned a certificate in veterinary assistance from Ashworth University. Currently enrolled in a veterinary tech course with Penn Foster, I am hoping to further my education and be of greater help at the clinic. I enjoy my work and am a huge animal lover!

I am still a newly-wed, married to Chris Rhymes. We have a “family” of two English bulldogs, Bully and Ellie.

Jacob Jones

Jacob Jones, Veterinary Assistant

My name is Jacob Jones, even though I have only worked at SVC since August of 2012 I have learned a lot. This has been my favorite place I have worked. It is a great job and I'm surrounded by great people. I have a son named Jackson and I'm currently attending ULM as a Psychology major. After I complete school I hope to be an Addiction Counselor so I can continue to help.

Kyle Sullivan

Kyle Sullivan, Animal Caregiver and Kennel Attendant

My name is Kyle Sullivan and I am 15 years old. I began working at SVC in May 2012 and help take care of animals in the kennel and barn. I will be a sophomore at Franklin Academy in August. I enjoy playing football and baseball, riding 4-wheelers and working with animals. My future plans include graduating from FA and attending college at Louisiana Tech University and then continuing on to veterinary school at LSU. I hope one day I will be able to work side by side with my dad, Chris Sullivan.

“I am so thankful to be associated with caring people. Chris Sullivan went the extra mile for us in caring for (our) dog Harley. It’s very refreshing!”~ submitted by Sullivan client Ellen Osborn
